SAILING &

BOAT HIRE

SAILING

Sail along the coast at your own pace.

Glencoe Boat Club is an established sailing club located on Loch Leven between Glencoe village and Ballachulish.  With an active series of events and courses, as well as weekly sailing races and annual regatta in June, visitors are most welcome to use one of the moorings and make use of the pontoon to take on provisions or go ashore for a meal.

If you are interested in joining the boat club, learning to sail, or starting a marine course like a VHF radio course, we look forward to hearing from you.

The annual Glencoe Regatta takes place in June each year and brings a sailing spectacle to the shores of Loch Leven at Tighphuirt.

If you would like to learn how to sail or polish up on some more technical techniques Snowgoose Mountain Centre does one day courses for beginners on their 16′ dinghies which can take up to four people or for the more experienced sailor they have 21′ dinghies available. If you are a more experienced sailor you can also rent their dinghies for the day.

FAST BOAT TRIPS

Go Faster, Go further, See more!

Fast Boat Trips are an amazing way to experience the area from the water.  The area is abundant with wildlife – Seabirds, Eagles, Porpoises, Seals, Otters and Wild Goats – no two trips are the same and each one is made even better by the commentary, knowledge and expertise of your dedicated Skipper!

Explore the waters around Glencoe, Fort William and Oban; the picturesque ancient burial Isles at the foot of the Pap of Glencoe mountain, Bishop’s Bay, Ballachulish Bridge, Lismore, Castle Stalker, The Corran Lighthouse, Ardsheal Bay, Balnagowan Island, Cuil Bay, Lismore Island, Port Appin, Seal Island, Oban Bay and much more.

Whichever trip you choose you can experience nature in its full glory when we pull up a creel or two and look at creatures from the deep and then put them back!

Seaxplorer operates two powerful RIB (Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boats) from their bases at Ballachulish (near Glencoe and Fort William).  View Lochaber’s magnificent wildlife and majestic coastal scenery from the comfort of your fast boat.
